The
Hawkinge & Elham Valley Practice website
The Hawkinge and Elham Valley Practice website is one
of those projects which starts out as a few pages
and has flourished into a really useful comprehensive
site.
The site not only provides the usual surgery information
such as clinic times, practice procedures and a newsletter
that you often
find on a doctors surgery site. There is also a unique
feature to the site. The 'How can we help you section?'
makes this site a useful tool to any patient who is suffering
and seeking treatment.
The 'How can we help you section?' helps guide the
user to making an appointment with the correct person
within the practice.
If the visitor is requiring treatment
for something which is not offered by the surgery, there
are phone numbers, addresses and hyperlinks to
medical sites, where more information about treatment
for their specific requirments are given.
As well as the design of this site White Gate Design were comissioned
to art direct the photography which gave me the opportunity to work with Miranda Parry of MPP Photography to capture friendly and inviting imagery. All the pictures
used throughout the site is of staff and patients from
the surgery.
The next step of this project is to integrate the website
with EMIS to offer an online appointment booking system.
