Lately
I have become aware of how important it is to
consider website accessibility when designing and building
a website.
This
part of the
laboratory is an area where I can document my findings concerning
website accessibility.
There are lots of guidelines regarding website accessibility.
It is now law to ensure that every website has taken into consideration
people who have disabilities which will effect them from viewing
and interacting with a website in the usual way.
There are lots of helpful websites out there which have helped
me to become more aware of the kinds of issues people may face
on a daily basis using a website which has not been designed
with accessibility in mind. These websites not only highlight
the accessibility issues but provide guidance on how to make
sure that your website is accessible.
The links below are to websites that deal with website accessibility. They
are all very useful.
